Next Step Initiative
Growing Together

For over 8 years HCF has taken one Sunday a month for a ‘round table time’ in which we recreated a small group setting where people can connect, share and be in the Word together. We have found that this values each person in our family as having a voice and an opportunity to contribute to encouraging and receiving from others.
In September 2024 HCF launched the Next Step Initiative, restructuring our Sunday gatherings to create small group equipping within the Sunday experience 3 weeks of the month. This helps us to make more intimate connections during our Sunday gathering time which helps with encouragement, accountability, and support.
The church (ecclesia) is us, the people, and we believe that the mandate of Ephesians 4:11-16 is a key for the coming harvest – to raise up disciples who equip and disciple others.

Kingdom Kids
LETTING GOD CRUSH YOUR FEAR
Sometimes we get so overcome with fear, it feels like the fear is crushing us. Instead, we can learn to crush fear by keeping our eyes on God and his love.
Objective: Kids will learn that God’s love crushes our fear.
Memory Verse: “There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives away fear.”
– 1 John 4:18a (NIrV)
Keep Your Love On Relationship Tools
Keeping your love on is a hard thing to do. Sometimes it’s the hardest thing to do. But if you want to build healthy relationships with God and others, learning to keep your love on is non-negotiable. Adults and children, alike, thrive in healthy relationships in which it is safe to love and be loved, to know and be
known. Yet for many, relationships are anything but safe, loving or intimate. They are defined by anxiety,
manipulation, control and conflict. The reason is that most people have never been trained to be powerful
enough to keep their love on in the face of mistakes, pain and fear.
Reading Proverbs
This Next Steps group is a bible study answering the question, “What does it mean to read Proverbs
every day?” If you choose this group you will endeavor to read a chapter of Proverbs each day for
31 days, encapsulating the whole month, and seek to support others in their reading. Our group will
discuss Bible reading as a spiritual discipline and discuss other spiritual disciplines. We will seek to
understand what our Bibles say about godly wisdom. Our goal is to begin a life long habit of reading our bibles and specifically Proverbs each day.
Newcomers
Come meet with Pastor Bob to learn about the DNA of HCF; examine biblical examples of
people who put their faith in Jesus and how that compares to our own journey of faith.
Along the way we’ll get to know each other better and grow in our understanding of what it
means to be a follower of Jesus.
Worship
This worship course explores biblical and theological foundations for Christian worship to equip
learners and worship leaders with a deeper understanding on key components of worship. Learners understand fundamental principles of worship as the reasons why people worship the God. Explain the difference between Praise, Gratitude and Worship; Recognize the relationship between personal, corporate worship as it relates to discipleship. Identify key components of David
as a worshipper
