Next Step Initiative
Growing Together
For over 8 years HCF has taken one Sunday a month for a ‘round table time’ in which we recreated a small group setting where people can connect, share and be in the Word together. We have found that this values each person in our family as having a voice and an opportunity to contribute to encouraging and receiving from others.
In September 2024 HCF launched the Next Step Initiative, restructuring our Sunday gatherings to create small group equipping within the Sunday experience 3 weeks of the month. This helps us to make more intimate connections during our Sunday gathering time which helps with encouragement, accountability, and support.
The church (ecclesia) is us, the people, and we believe that the mandate of Ephesians 4:11-16 is a key for the coming harvest – to raise up disciples who equip and disciple others.

Youth Alpha
This course gives space for young people to explore questions about life, faith and purpose. It has been created to enable young people to navigate the core ideas of the Christian faith in a relevant, accessible and engaging way.
Discipleship
Discipleship. What does it look like? Am I living it?
Join us for a deep dive into the book of Philippians. Over three sessions we’ll unpack Paul’s often overlooked letter. Through Scripture reading and interactive discussion we’ll take an honest look at the cost of being a disciple. Themes of obedience and humility found in the lives of those closest to Jesus will challenge us to examine the comfortable, often distracted lives that we lead. Come expectant, leave changed.
The Role of Suffering in the Kingdom of God
Living in a broken world, believers often have difficulty making sense of the suffering they experience. This 3-week class will explore: What is suffering? Where does it come from? How are we to respond when we suffer? What does it mean to partner with Jesus in redemptive suffering?
Kingdom Kids
JESUS DID WHAT????
Each week we will explore together the Miracles of Jesus. The children will gather to hear the story and learn to apply the miracle to their own lives. Then its off to the various stations to explore the theme in a creative way.
Healing of the Heart
The Lord desires that we be whole and free to experience His Presence fully, to have healthy relationships and move on to fulfill the destiny He intended. Engaging in a journey of healing of our hearts helps us to best posture us for the fullness He has for us. Join us as we explore Biblical truths in dealing with life’s hurts and dismantling the enemy’s schemes.
Prophecy Unfolding
“The days are coming, declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel'” (Jer. 33:14)
The prophets declared Israel’s significance and Jesus said that salvation is from the Jews. (John 4:22). Why is Israel so central in our journey with God?
Explore the signposts of God’s heart for Israel with us as we look deeper into God’s covenants and His divine plan for Israel, the nations and for all believers,
Newcomers
Lisa Cowling and Terry Duguid will be sharing about the DNA of HCF; examine biblical examples of
people who put their faith in Jesus and how that compares to our own journey of faith.
Along the way we’ll get to know each other better and grow in our understanding of what it
means to be a follower of Jesus.
